Hello, I’m Clare

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to travel the world and call the UK, Ireland, China, the Philippines and the USA home. Travelling and moving around is incredibly inspiring and I’ve always adored experiencing new countries and cultures - especially seeing the vibrant colors and artful styles unique to each destination.

After calling the Philippines home for three years, I felt a deep connection to the communities I met there and partnered with a cooperative called Klowil which introduced me to the women of the T’boli tribe and their artisanal weaving.

At this time, I had an unwavering desire to start something of my own.  With a background in graphic design, creating and making had been my constant throughout every move and this is when my vision for Soli & Sun formed. 

I knew my accessory designs could support the women I’d met to sustain an income and honour their beautiful crafts and this led to us creating our first bag together, The Isabella.
